No one switched off lights after event ended
Posted on 30 Nov, 2007
STOMPer neco sees electricity being wasted when no one swtiched off the lights after an event at the open space in front of Block 144, Teck Whye Lane. The STOMPer sent photos of the lights still switched on, even though the event had ended and everyone had left.
"After all the performances ended, everybody left the area with the lights of the open space on," the STOMPer said in an email on 29 Nov.
"Until about 12am, the lights are still on. Even worse, the lights are still on until the next day morning. I saw it when going to work," the STOMPer said.
"It is very selfish, when they want to use, they will switch on without hestitation. But when the event finished, no one bothered to come and switch off the lights," the STOMPer said.
"This is not the first time this has happened. Two weeks ago, there was an event by the community club. The lights were on until the next morning.
"A few months back, activities were held at the open space and the same situation happened.
"So who is paying for the electricity bill?" the STOMPer asked.
